Instability (Destabilisation)
When a player's hitbox registers damage, the physics engine immediately applies an Instability Modifier. Rather than slowing down, a destabilised player receives an instantaneous velocity multiplier, causing them to accelerate exponentially. Sustained damage ticks chain the multiplier. This inverts traditional FPS tagging: getting shot makes you faster.

Practical tips
- Trade health for speed - destabilised runs save lives
- Predict 'speed-begone' after sustained fire
- Avoid grazing enemies with AoE - you make them faster
